THE GRUBB FAMILY from Collinsville Texas, returns Sept. 5-6
Bible, Burgers and Bluegrass
at FALL FESTIVAL/Roundup Day
Staying close for Labor Day? Be sure and take in some of the best sounds and tastes found anywhere in the U.S. of A. Seriously! We're talking bluegrass music, grilled hamburgers and hotdogs on Saturday on the parking lot at Amazing Grace Chapel, 216 S. Main, Sapulpa, and more Gospel singing and preaching on Sunday morning in the sanctuary. The Saturday might event (we're calling it a Fall Festival) gets under way at 6 with an open mike for area gospel musicians and singers. The Smidt Family is scheduled to open the free concert at 6:30 p.m. followed by the Grubbs at 7.
The Grubbs will stay overnight and lead the services on Sunday morning at 10 for Round-Up Sunday. The new church is hoping to launch a new Sunday School year with kids that morning. Free trolley rides on "The Amazing Trolley" bus are offered in the neighborhood on both days. Folks should call Pastor Don at 227-3057 for a ride.
Amazing Grace Baptist Church is still receiving charter members. You can join AGBC three ways: 1. By profession of Faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and following in Believer’s Baptism. 2. By Statement of Faith that you have already accepted Christ and been scriptually baptized (or awaiting baptism by immersion); or 3. By transfer of membership from another church of like faith and order.
At the close of service this morning, the pastor will extend an invitation for you to openly respond to the draw of the Holy Spirit. You can come forward and/or set up a time to visit with pastor further. Copies of our Statement of Beliefs and Constitution and Bylaws will be made available to you. They also can be read at our website: AmazingGraceChapel.com. So please pray and respond as God would have you to do. If you have questions, Let us know.
